September Book Club: Nate the Great by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat

For the first Grades 1-2 Book Club, we read Nate the Great, written by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat and illustrated by Marc Simont.

We answered questions using worksheets, using single words, sentences and pictures. We had a fun conversation about the book and all of the things that happened in the story. And ate lots of cookies!

Some of the best quotes from this session:
"I can't write on the worksheets because my arm is too tired from school."
"If I were Nate the Great and had to solve the mystery, I would go to the library and look around!"

Please join us on Wednesday, October 4 at 3:00 p.m. for the next Grades 1-2 Book Club. We will be reading A Fine, Fine School by Sharon Creech. " When a principal loves his school so much that he wants the children to attend classes every day of the year, it's up to his students to show him free time is a good thing, too."-summary. Copies of the book will be available behind the Circulation Desk. Please be sure to register so that Miss Lisa knows how many snacks to buy!
